DIY dress form tutorial

I've seen those great tutorials for making your own dress form.I wanted to make one, really. But when i calculated,i would still have to spend some money, like for duct tape.I gave up.It wasn't project for me.I needed something cheaper, faster and something that looks almost like professional dress form.
I had these materials:
-Cardboard
-Old shirt(long sleeve,if possible,and stretchy material)
-Fabric scraps
-Hot glue gun and one stick
-Needle and thread
-Sewing pins
-Scissors
(Prepare all this, because i am sure you'll have to make this dress form when you see how it's simple.)

Ask your kid to lay down on the cardboard.
Draw around the body.
Shape isn't so important, you can fix it later.Cut your shape,i used scissorc, but you can use scalpel(i couldn't find one).Cut it smaller, because it needs to be filled later,so it will be bigger.I draw 2 year old,and got 4 year old dress form.
Now cut another piece of cardboard, oval shape(for waist). You could cut one or two more,to make form even more stable.
Use hot glue gun to join these two pieces.
Add one piece at both sides to prevent falling, again use glue gun.
If your cardboard was folded, use another piece to make it harder.
Now it can stand on it's own.
Use some old shirt (i actually bought this one,but it was so cheap,it doesn't count ;))
Dress your cardboard form.
You might think it looks ugly, but believe me,for a half an hour you'll have awesome dress form.
Make sure to close waist,i used sewing pins all the way around. But i think glue gun(again) would be the best. Also, pin sleeves.
Now start putting fabric inside this form.Follow measurements(neck, arms, shoulders, chest, waist)
I needed only this one bag of fabric scraps.
Just a little bit more...

Then cut sleeves.
Use one sleeve to make neck.
Sew it all the way around.
Other sleeve use to make 3 circles, one for neck, and two for arms.
It's not a circle,but material is stretchy,so it doesn't matter.
Measure how long neck do you want and cut the rest.
Then sew a circle.

Do the same thing with sleeves.

And...Done!
Ready to display your newest creations.I hope instructions were clear. If you make dress form, please let me know how it worked out.
I'll show you how to make stand and adult size dress form soon.
